We are making updates to the Mount Score for the Bee.
You should be seeing some updates over the next few days that resolves some of the issues we have heard from the community.
@danIels819874 Yes, it is updating in some regions slower than desired. We will work on a fix next week. If you DM us your rusername we can provide some guidance meanwhile.
A few more updates.
1. We hate seeing people impacted by the Discord hack. The hacker took advantage of some good people in our community.
2. We said yesterday that the hacker never got access to an admin or super admin account. No admin or super-admin account was compromised. This hack gave them access to the announcements channel, where they then impersonated an admin but they themselves did not have the full admin or super admin privileges.
3. The hack asked users to authenticate their wallet on typosquatted URL that to retrieve their scam Airdrop and then proceeded to drain their wallets.
3. The hack occurred in the middle of the night for us in the United States so we were sleeping, but some of the mods (on different time zones) and auto-mods were actively fighting this hacker. We want to thank the many folks who worked hard to fight back against this hacker. Once the team in the US woke up, we took further measures to address the issue.
4. The unfortunate part of crypto culture is that the Airdrop scam is far too common. We know we have warned folks before but we will do it again, when you hear airdrop please run the other way. Additionally, you will never need to sign a transaction to receive Hivemapper rewards. If you are ever asked to sign a transaction by an entity claiming to be Hivemapper, it is a scam. Do not engage at all, and please alert others.
5. We have filed a report with the FBI, using the IC3 process.
We truly appreciate the community's work to alert others about this hacker and the work they did to fight the hacker. And we are very sorry about the impact to some members of the community.
Upgrading to the Bee from an earlier generation camera?
This is an excellent deep dive into the Bee.
Enjoy and thanks to Handyman Savage for an excellent review.

We absolutely are crushed that this happened to some good folks in the community, and I know many moderators were actively working to fight back against this hacker.
Just one important thing. This is not a new guideline/rule. When you join our server, we link you to our Rules and Guidelines which include this and this has been the case for many years now.
Additionally, the Rules and Guidelines channel is persistent.
A few safety reminders worth keeping in mind:
1. Airdrop promos are the crypto version of the Nigerian prince email. They're are basically scams. If you see one, do yourself a favor do not engage with it.
2. Our official domain is https://t.co/ckpUXzppUz. Any link pointing to a different variation or extension is not us.
3. Watch for common red flags - misspelled domain names, unfamiliar URLs, users who recently joined a community, or offers that sound too good to be true.
4. Mapping rewards are deposited directly into your wallet automatically. You never need to "claim" them. Anyone asking you to authenticate your wallet to claim tokens from us is running a scam.
When in doubt, verify with others.
Update #3.
A former moderator's account was used to impersonate two members of the community and post a scam in an announcement channel.
They never had access / control over these admin accounts. Whether that former moderator did it themselves or their account was compromised we don't know.
We are further restricting access to various privileges across the board, amongst other changes we made.
We will slowly open it up the Discord again over the next few days.
The "claim free tokens" airdrop scam is so widespread at this point that it's safe to assume it's a scam - every time, regardless of who's sharing it. If the link points to an unfamiliar URL, that only confirms it.
The moment you see "authenticate your wallet to claim free airdrop tokens," that's your cue to close the tab/app and move on. No exceptions.
Feel free to leave the screenshots up - they actually do a good job of illustrating the impersonation attempt.
If you look closely, the fake account is ".ariel.seidman" with a join date of May 12, 2026.
The roles shown were crafted to look like "Admin" and "Super Admin" but were purely cosmetic - they carried none of the actual privileges of those roles.

A quick update.
We've identified the person behind this. They used their own accounts to impersonate community members but never gained access to any official accounts.
Out of an abundance of caution, we have:
1. Further restricted privileges across the server.
2. We have removed all integrations/bots.
We will continue to perform a complete security review and will provide updates without compromising our investigation.
