@IrishRainforest@IUCN Was in The Burren, Co Clare last week.
There was a large herd of wild goat on Mullaghmore visible with the naked eye from over a mile away. Not a tree to be seen.
In contrast, where sheep and goat are fenced out there's some of the finest Hazel woods I've seen in Ireland.
@r_crainn This is fucked up. Shame on those who sit in a position of power and influence who allow a situation to develop like this that could so easily be resolved by granting her permission to self cultivate or by providing Irish grown product at a far cheaper price. The law is an ass.
@Gebinh1 Hey chap, I'm interested in your experience of the PEG operation, recovery and use. I have MND and the docs are suggesting a PEG op as the way forward. I get the logic but interested in comments from someone who's already had it done. Best of luck to you π. Tks
@NatalieORegan1 If someone is terminally or seriously ill, or in constant pain or suffering in a way that makes life a challenge shouldn't they be able to choose if they want to use cannabis to assist them? There are so many hurdles with the existing legislation - it's a joke.
@IrishRainforest My daughter was lucky enough to get close enough to one in August last year to take this photo. I just can't imagine why someone would purposely shoot something so stunningly beautiful. Some people really do not give a f**k. Heartbreaking.
@IrishRainforest Kerry yesterday. The only animal life I saw were two wild goats. One had climbed 8 foot high in a holly tree to feed. It jumped down, walked off with the other one and easily vaulted over a 3 foot sheep fence. Apart from the holly, not a tree in sight for miles.
@HouseChambers@megportal This is winter solstice last year at Drombeg circle in Co Cork. Looking through the portal stones towards the setting sun in the SW. The recumbent axial stone visible on the far side of the circle.
@HouseChambers@megportal Many of the Cork / Kerry circles are aligned NE / SW with the recumbent axial stone at the SW. The setting sun at Winter solstice would set in alignment with the axial stone when viewing from between the portal stones on the opposite side of the circle. https://t.co/DgXEEUuEqW
@HouseChambers@megportal The axial stones that feature in the stone circles found in counties Cork and Kerry are recumbent. Unlike the circles found in Scotland the recumbent stone is placed opposite the portal stones.
