I addressed a media parley with stakeholders on challenges of salary payment and issues of nominal/payrolls.

By the act of commission, collusion and distortion, Bauchi State is facing a monumental task of sorting what is evidently a pre-existing corrupt salary regime.

Yesterday, to further enhance service delivery, I swore in five new appointees, of which two are women. Honourable Maryam Garba Bagel was sworn in as Hon. Commissioner for Commerce and Industry while Dr Asma'u Giade was sworn in as Hon. Commissioner of Culture and Tourism.

The fire incident at the Railway market in Bauchi is regrettable. Over the weekend, I visited the affected site where I sympathised with those affected. The State Emergency Management Agency has assessed the damage, & I have instructed that relief materials be promptly disbursed.
