The @Big12Conference is one screwed up conference, and was on display live from Frisco, Texas today. It was interesting watching their dysfunctional group operate, especially considering that 3/4 of the schools are have-nots on sinking ships who seem to be hell bent on pulling everyone down with them.
In the Big Ten we definitely have our issues such as UM launching a multi-state, illegal spy ring, getting away with it far too long, and parlaying it into a national title the next year. But we keep our spats in house, our coaches and ADs don't run to the media whining like little girls about other Big Ten schools, and our Commissioner isn't a virtue-signaling wuss.
The Big 12 has so many have-nots who never have and never will that their loser mindset has completely. They absolutely can't stand that Tx Tech has become the conference heavyweight, and as a result they all scurry around sniping about TT to the media, leaking information from internal meetings to create false narratives, and scurrying around like a bunch of bitter ex-wives with too much time on their hands.
Iowa State is a prime example: they bring absolutely nothing to that conference yet were the loudest whiners about Brendan Sorsby winning his injunction. And because their athletic department is basically insolvent their AD has been whining incessantly about trying to make TT pay the legal bills (they won't, and no court would hold them liable for those bills). This is the same school who's coach bolted for a better job so they decided to decline a bowl bid, costing the conference millions of dollars (and Yormark reduced their fine after they whined about being held accountable).
The Iowa States, Kansas States, Central Floridas (since when are directional schools in a P4 conference?) who contribute nothing to the league can't stand it that their league mate has multiple billionaires who care enough to build Tx Tech into a national power at a time the conference desperately needed one.
Now they are like crabs in a barrel trying to keep anyone from getting ahead (thanks @ChrisAcer5, great analogy) and would clearly prefer the entire league stay at the bottom with them. Commissioner Wussmark apparently agrees since he destroyed Tx Tech's decades-old tortilla tradition (they're dangerous!).
The Big 12 is a race to the bottom, and it has a huge head start with a who's who of have-nots throughout the league. It's fascinating to watch their pettiness toward the one school in the league that has the resources to actually compete. The "if I can't have it then no one should have it" mentality of this league is a spectacle to behold.
Just go look at an Iowa State or Kansas State message board -- 80% of their posts are whining about you-know-who.
Tx Tech seems to be fine with it because all it does is drive their team closer together and give them an edge at a time when overlooking all the have-nots would be easy to do.
In a few years when TV contracts start coming up for renewal again, maybe all these have-nots will find a happier home in the G5 where they belong.
USS Liberty survivor Phil Tourney burns the Israeli flag on July 4th and endorses Thomas Massie for president in 2028.
"I burn this evil flag on the Fourth of July."
"I also call out all the Zionist members of Congress and senators."
"You're supposed to fight for this country, not Israel."
I am officially nominating Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) for the Nobel Peace Prize.
No President in History has ended the same war so many times.
Our Dear Leader has ended the war with Iran at least 38 times by CNN’s count.
No President has ever done this before.
And he is nowhere near finished ending it.
It’s a record worthy of the Nobel committee’s recognition. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

MIKE JOHNSON: “If we lose the midterms, the Dems will turn every committee of Congress into an investigative body. They will go after the president's family, the cabinet, his donors, and friends.”
This is actually the best case I’ve heard for voting Democrat.
Hillary Clinton visited an elementary school in New York to talk to the kids about the world. After her talk she asked if there were any questions?
One little boy puts up his hand. He says his name is.
"Kenneth." "And what is your question, Kenneth?" she asks.
"I have three questions," he says. "First -- what happened in Benghazi? "Second -- why did you run for president if you are not even capable of handling two e-mail accounts? "And, third -- what happened to the missing six billion dollars while you were Secretary of State?"
Just then the bell rings for recess. Hillary tells the kids that they will continue after recess.
When they resume Hillary says, "Okay, where were we? Oh, that's right, question time. Who has a question?" A different boy -- little Johnny -- puts his hand up.
"And what is your question, Johnny?" she asks.
"I have five questions," he says.
"First -- what happened in Benghazi?
"Second -- why did you run for president if you are not capable of handling two e-mail accounts? "Third -- what happened to the missing six billion dollars while you were Secretary of State?
"Fourth -- why did the recess bell go off 20 minutes early?
"And, fifth -- where the hell is Kenneth?"
Finding out Erika was in the Epstein Circle was WAAAYY over the target. We were never supposed to find that out. THAT IS CRAZY 😂
And Charlie was sleeping next to her at night trying to figure out how to push for the full release of the Epstein files.
Whole time Erika stomach is in her a** with no appetite watching Charlie starting to connect the dots 💀
🚨 WTF?! A USS Liberty survivor confirms President LBJ intentionally set them up to be sunk by Israel as a false flag.
He reveals Washington maliciously denied escorts and called back rescue planes twice, leaving them to die for 17 hours to appease the Zionist regime.
The least surprising news of all time is that Texas Tech is vilified because of a judge’s ruling in the Sorsby case.
The only issue is Texas Tech did not step one toe out of line in the entire process.
