Ghani Baloch is the central leader of the fellow party, the National Democratic Party (NDP), who was forcibly taken into illegal custody on the night of May 25, 2025, from Khuzdar when he was on his way to Karachi from Quetta. He has a powerful voice for the oppressed people in any forum he got an opportunity of.

Apart from this, Ghani is also an M.Phil scholar who should have been continuing to spread his knowledge in the society – for which he is truly committed. But only if the state’s law enforcement agencies were not reluctant to hinder the way.

While emphasizing the need for his immediate and safe release, I ask the authorities concerned to stop targeting our literate voices who are keen to make an impact through education. It is our collective works, both in politics and in education, which ensure our bright national future.

For me, and for many daughters like me, Father’s Day is marked by yearning, grief and questions no one answers.

My father, Dr. Deen Muhammad Baloch, was forcibly disappeared. On June 28, it will be sixteen years. Sixteen years without his voice, his protection & presence, his love.

To the world, he may be just a name in a file. But to me, he is my Baba. He was my anchor. Every joy, every milestone, every moment of my life was meant to be shared with him. His absence is not just the loss of a person, it is the loss of home.

We daughters grow older, but the absence of a father leaves a wound that time does not close. It lingers, a quiet ache beneath everything.

Baba Deen Jan, wherever they have kept you, in whatever dark dungeon, I can feel your strength. They tried to silence you, but they can never break your spirit. It lives within your daughters, your nation.

I will keep searching.
I will keep demanding answers.
I will keep fighting until I bring you home.
