Well - Twitter may be dying, but it's December again, which means this account becomes active in light of the annual "Twelve Days of Christmas" Don John/Hero writing sprint!

Are you ready for some BINGO? 1/7

This is gonna happen every year; I'm never gonna remember how to use Twitter when I first start sharing this stuff. Link! https://t.co/xgx8vqyxqG

First Don John x Hero fic of 2022: "Against the Run of Play."

Against the run of the play (phrase): Contrary to the pace or flow of a game or situation, usually in the context of sports (but occasionally in the context of relationships).

Also, for reference, the darker of the BINGO slots read:

"Repeat OCs"
"John Makes Things Worse"
"HEA (Happily Ever After)"
"Use of Non-English Languages"
"'I Wrote This Today'"

Shoot me a DM if you need any help reading any other BINGO slots! 6/7

The month of Don John/Hero has come to an end! I wrote 84k words for a rarepair crackship. Now it's time to rest my writer's cramp and...maybe finish up my WIPs.

[Her_Madjesty @HMadjesty]

I took up drawing as a hobby because it seemed like fun - and it is! - but it is also a regular reminder of my own damn hubris /jk.

In unrelated news, if anyone has any art tutorials they like - help?

me reading fics: it’s so incredible that people put their time into making things for me to consume! even if it’s not perfect, i’m still enjoying myself! the author had fun, and that’s what matters :D

me writing fics: if this isn’t shakespeare everyone on ao3 is going to hate me

[Aly🌻 @alytsum]

“this fic isn’t realistic” yeah and i live in reality 7 days a week ITS NOT GREAT let me have this.

[Her_Madjesty @HMadjesty]

@MN_Serendipity (Also, don't let the rejections get you down; we get *tons*. Even the form ones aren't mean-spirited! It's just a matter of finding the mag that celebrates your style. You've got this!)

[Her_Madjesty @HMadjesty]

@MN_Serendipity In terms of submissions, I go to the "Discover" page on Submittable or Entropy's "Where to Submit" posts: https://t.co/AQInVfoMcC

Entropy's shutting down, though, so this resource is running dry D: I hope that helps!

Y'all, "Much Ado About Nothing" is about to pass both Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Star Wars on my AO3 for "Most Fics Written."

What am I.

[Her_Madjesty @HMadjesty]

@wearwind_ao3 @recipe_stories Absolutely seconded!

[Her_Madjesty @HMadjesty]

With that in mind, happy reading! Belated Hanukah joy to those who celebrate, and cheerful winter holidays to all. Let's get Shakespearean! (5/5)

[Her_Madjesty @HMadjesty]

Hello, all! For those who are interested: last year, I spent all of December posting increasingly niche fanfiction. This year, I'm doing it again - but with a twist. (1/5)

[Her_Madjesty @HMadjesty]

The prize fic can be any fandom, any pairing, any length, though I may chat with you about any writing squicks we encounter if they happen to arise. (4/5)
