@StilesMoz @NationsDCWho @OttawaBylaw 2) Since there's possibility of arrest, I'd ask one of my fellow truckers to take my pet and care for in the event it happened to me...a temporary arrangement until I made bail. The comaraderie has been well documented, so there are probably many people who would gladly do that.

@xBaderi 2) Relinquished means they are free to place the animal in shelter to be adopted or a foster situation. Relinquished doesn't mean murdered.

@NationsDCWho @OttawaBylaw 2) I am not saying anyone should be arrested. I am saying nobody is abusing the animals. Nor did anyone say the animals shouldn't be there or are not taken care of properly. It is only providing for the eventuality there is an arrest.

@NationsDCWho @OttawaBylaw If no arrangements are made in 8 day (as in someone in the family or friend or acquaintance picks the animal up), then it will be turned over to a shelter. Most all shelter animals are adopted. Would you rather the person arrested had his/her pet left behind unattended?
