Our presidential candidates are 74 and 77. Our Senate Majority Leader is 78. Our House Speaker is 80. The average age of our Senate is 62. The average age of our House is 57.
...And the average age of every living American is 37.
We can’t pretend this isn’t part of the problem.
.@SenatorTimScott: "We'll move on. People will forget about it. And you know what's going to happen? Something bad. And we'll be right back here talking about what should have been done...We could do something right now."

After weeks of telling anyone with a notebook or microphone that the Senate has an obligation to consider policing reforms, Senate Democrats today blocked the opportunity to even consider legislation on this issue.
The GOP asked the senate to bring this to debate, instead they immediately blocked it. This could have been a great way for both parties to come together and agree on something as a unit. I believe Senator @TimScottSC did an excellent job to try and make America safer.
