1/2 Reducing MAPPA levels requires a careful, evidence‑based approach. In this example, sustained progress, strong multi‑agency engagement, and effective risk management planning provided the confidence to step the case down safely.
This week we’re highlighting effective examples of MAPPA in practice. This case demonstrates how Level 2 MAPPA adds value when risks cannot be managed at a lower level. It demonstrates highly effective joint working, appropriately overseen by MAPPA, to prevent further offending.
