މި ފަހަކަށް އައިސް މާލެ ސިޓީގައި ދިރިއުޅުއްވާ ލޮބުވެތި ރައްޔިތުންނަށް، އެކި ގޮތްގޮތުން ހަމަލާދީ، މީހުންނަށް ޖިސްމާނީ އަނިޔާތައްދެމުންދާކަން ހިތާމައާއެކު ފާހަގަކުރަން. އަދި މި ފަދަ ޢަމަލުތައް ހަރުކަށި ޢިބާރާތުން ކުށްވެރިކުރަން. އުފެދޭ ވާދަވެރިކަމެއް ނުވަތަ ޚިޔާލުތަފާތުވުމެއްގެ ސަބަބުން ވިޔަސް، މީހުންގަޔަށް އަތްލުމަކީ އެއްގޮތަކަށް ވެސް ކޮށްގެންވާނެ ކަމެއް ނޫންކަމަށް އަޅުގަނޑު ދަންނަވަން. އަދި މި ފަދަ ޢަމަލުތައް ހުއްޓުވުމަށް އެކަށީގެންވާ ފިޔަވަޅުތައް އަޅުއްވައި، މި ސިޓީއަކީ ރައްޔިތުންނަށް އަމާން، ރައްކާތެރި ތަނަކަށް ހެދުމަށް، މަސައްކަތް ކޮށްދެއްވުމަށް، ދައުލަތުގެ ކަމާގުޅޭ މުއައްސަސާތަކަށް އަޅުގަނޑު ގޮވައިލަން.

I grew up in Machchangolhi Uthuru.

It was more than just a neighborhood. It was a close knit community where children played freely, neighbors knew one another, and people genuinely looked out for each other. There was a strong sense of trust, safety, and belonging.

Our streets were not simply roads. They were spaces filled with laughter, friendship, and shared memories. They reflected the strength of our community and the values we carried as families.

I firmly believe we can restore that spirit. Not by returning to the past, but by planning responsibly and building thoughtfully for the present and the future.

Machchangolhi Uthuru remains rich in talent and potential. We have capable and ambitious youth, creative artists, skilled women entrepreneurs working from their homes, and children whose abilities are yet to be fully nurtured. The foundation for a thriving community already exists within us.

There was a time when our area was vibrant with music, sports, creativity, and positive energy. That vitality has not disappeared. It simply requires the right support, opportunities, and leadership to flourish again.

A strong and active neighborhood is the backbone of a healthy society. When communities are connected, empowered, and given space to grow, everyone benefits.

Together, we can restore pride, opportunity, and community spirit in Machchangolhi Uthuru and build a neighborhood that reflects both our heritage and our aspirations for the future.
