Last night the @salvationarmyuk and our Askham Grange choir put on a spectacular performance for both prisoners and staff! 🎄
The event was a success bringing together staff and prisoners, helping to create a safe and rehabilitative environment and promote wellbeing.
Our Families and Significant Others Team hosted an event for stakeholders involved in helping prisoners and their families strengthen and maintain ties - vital for rehabilitation. Everyone in attendance made a pledge of how they'll work closer with their local prison!

The Grange Coffee Shop and Garden Centre is fully stocked with new flavours of our homemade jams and chutneys. The Grange is ran by our prisoners helping build employable skills in leadership and customer service to aid in their resettlement journey. Google us to find out more!

We held a fundraising event for prisoners & staff to take part in, including sporting activities. Alongside raising money for charity, the event helped build team working, resilience & leadership skills for life upon release.
.@HMPAskham provide women with the chance to work in their external garden centre, coffee shop or conference centre. They provide women with valuable experience, training and skills to increase future employment opportunities on release 👇

Last night saw the launch of the extraordinary ‘We Roar’ art exhibition at HMP Askham Grange. Featuring artwork and poetry by 40 people imprisoned in England (Two women from Askham) and the USA! Lead by @fayeclaridge in partnership with @Novus, @umichPCAP and @ace_national!
Over 70% of our women attended the Education Work and Skills fair. Local and national employers took part in the day and to creat countless connections which resulted in a number of fantastic job offers! Excellent work by our Prison Employment Lead and Employment Hub team!
We know it’s hard being apart from loved ones over the festive season. At HMP/YOI Askham Grange we can help you keep in touch through visits, video calls, writing a letter or emailing a prisoner.

Day three of Employment Week has been the busiest yet. Around three quarters of our women spent time working their way around the job fair. A huge thank you to all the employers who took part. There is lots of excitement for tomorrow mock interviews….
