We will be sharing the number with another prison, this is why those booking need to say it for Rochester from 16th May onwards. We didn't want to delay moving to the new service any longer which would have been the case if we didn't share a number.

From the 16/05/22 we will be moving to the National visits booking line.
Please use 0300 060 6513 from 16/5/22 to book a visit, stating it's for HMP ROCHESTER.
This service will operate 09:00 - 17:00, Monday to Friday

Please be advised from Thursday 12th May there will be some work happening to the outside area at our visitors centre. This is to install a small childrens play area, thank you for your patience whilst we make these improvements.

A few updates this morning.
We will be using 01634 803237 for booking visits in the morning as normal. We will also be using 01634 803350 Between 13:00 - 15:00 this week.

We have had some positive news this afternoon regarding moving to the national booking line, which will make booking a visit a lot easier. Its taken much longer than we would have liked to get to this stage and we hope to give the date of switch and number tomorrow.

We have had phone issues over the last few days, whilst we think they are now fixed if you are trying to book a visit and there is an issue please also try 01634 803350.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Visits will return to 90 minutes from Monday 4th April, all visits will commence at 14:00, and end at 15:30 @SpurgeonNetwork will offer a slightly reduced refreshment menu at this time

If you have a Purple Visit booked, this will go ahead as normal, but we will start booking calls on with the new provider, so please get the app.

Purple visits will be changing to the new supplier, Prison Video on the 18th April at HMP Rochester, if you use this service please download the new app to register yourself ready for the change. Thanks.

Contact on visits remains but is limited to a hug at the beginning and end of the visit only.

We will continue to run social visits as long as it is safe to do so. 

Visitors aged 12 and over will now need to take a lateral flow device test before coming for their visit.

To try and protect all at HMP Rochester we will be reducing our social visits offering again to 45 minutes. With reduced numbers in the hall. We will be contacting everyone to inform them if their time to attend has changed, And will continue to monitor the situation.
