New Quay Coastguard were paged at 9:37am today to a paddler boarder in difficultly as the team we’re making their way to station news came through that that paddler boarder was not in fact in any difficulty and we were stood down. False alarm with good intent.
A summer day turned to tragedy for a group of friends when a man got into difficulty in the sea at Neyland.
A huge operation was launched, involving police teams, the marine and dog units, Coastguard and fire service.

New Quay coastguard were paged along with New Quay Lifeboat station to a dog over the harbour wall in Aberaeron. On arrival at scene dog and owners were found to be safe and well team stood down and returned to station.
