From this interview and from the one did with Andy, we can see who is obsessed with who.
How many interviews did Amorim after he left the club, to say something about Berrada or Wilcox? 0.
How many times did they speak about him and his rigidity? 2 times already.
Just close the fucking chapter and move on, you have a transfer window to manage.

CEO Omar Berrada described former #mufc head coach Ruben Amorim’s biggest flaw as “rigidity” during the Financial Times Weekend Festival last week:
“Not tactics or talent. Rigidity. The coach came in mid-season with no pre-season to prepare, and under constant scrutiny, he held onto his ideas too tightly at exactly the point when adapting mattered most.”

I can’t wait for the moment when Carrick will adapt to what the players want and to how they feel they should play, so we can have this discussion again 👍🏻

This confirms exactly why he wasn't the right fit. At a club like ours, you cannot afford to be stubborn when the ship is taking on water. Managers who refuse to adapt to the reality on the pitch especially mid season are doomed to fail. I’m glad we’ve moved past that era of rigidity we need flexibility and pragmatism, not someone who’d rather go down with their own sinking ship than make a necessary tactical pivot.
🚨🗣️ @lauriewhitwell on alternative midfield targets to Mateus Fernandes:
"There might be players you’ve not heard of that come into, like with Lammens.
[…] Ive heard other names around United in the midfield area. They’re not as exciting as the ones we’ve heard before, but they’ve got a list of targets."
[@TOTDevils]
What is wrong with this guy? Didn’t they wanted him exactly because he wasn’t changing his philosophy when it was hard / not working as we wanted?
Didn’t he knew this before he went to Lisbon to pay his release clause?
@OmarBerrada the same you fired Amorim because he wasn’t flexible, the same will happen to you if you won’t be flexible in the transfer window and strengthen the team. It’s a matter of time ⏳

Let’s put this narative down to bed : there are a few players who are United fans from the early age who want to play for us.
The rest of them should be sold the project and we need to make them want to play for us. Not by giving them a lot of money, but you need to make them feel important, sell them the project, Champions League, new stadium + one of the most important aspects : the coach.
If we only wait for players who would like to play for us to tell us “sign me”, we won’t do anything.

I find it funny that Amorim haters are saying that he had no word on the transfers we did last summer, that Cunha and Mbeumo did not speak to him before they signed for us but when it comes to Mainoo, it was him who decided that Mainoo should leave and we should accept as low as 40m for him 😭
#MUFC
It’s so obvious he can’t say anything bad about them, he interviewed Berrada, he appears in the YouTube videos of the club, he is getting his info from the club but he can only release the good things about the club. But you can’t really judge him, his doing this for so many years, he’s so close to the club, he can’t come out and throw shit at INEOS and the rest.
For clarity/accuracy: Manchester City deal for Elliot Anderson is a club record by some distance (eclipsing £100m for Jack Grealish) but total fee is not a British record. Transfer is all cash up front with no bonuses and was agreed this evening
#mufc understand that Mateus Fernandes wants to join the club. He would play for Tottenham, but he’d prefer United. West Ham want an auction for Fernandes [@AndyMitten, @TOTDevils]
Amorim’s last act at United was going public about the board undermining him&
Most managers stay quiet to protect their payoff. He didn’t. He said exactly what was wrong with the club which is the board and then got sacked for it. Now, you lot are complaining about same INEOS
@PaddyKeoghAF One interesting aspect from your post is that Spurs mentioned their stadium in the proposal, which is an important factor when you try to sign important players, and then I remember our fans don’t want a new stadium and they are happy with the current one, which says a lot.
Nobody would've been happier than Fabrizio Romano to see his fave PR pay day Jonathan David score again after his performance vs Qatar last time out.

Tuchel is the second coach in the last year who doesn’t blindly play Mainoo just because of his talent - this should raise a question to Mainoo, not to the coaches, or he will come out and say he won’t come to the national team until England will have a coach who will play him?
