2% of GDP was what Labor & Dutton’s Coalition committed to spending ANNUALLY on defence
That amounts to $45,600,000,000 in 2024 (rising as GDP grows)
Dutton’s coalition has now promised to lift that to 3% over the next decade
That’s an EXTRA $25,000,000,000/YEAR
During peace?
I've had a look, but can't find a time when a Coalition govt delivered, simultaneously, 4% unemployment, with 2.5% inflation, 3.5% wages growth, a record high on the ASX & consecutive budget surpluses - as we have now.
This is using a data base that goes back to the late 1960s.
When the track records and respective economic policies of Labor and the Coalition are compared, there is no doubt that Labor offers the better prospect of successfully bringing inflation down and reducing the cost of living. #auspol

@LeagueFreak Ever play the ball and every in play kick if a player is offside and they stay out, it’s play on. But then on a restart kick, if you’re in front of the kicker, straight penalty, even if it’s kicked opposite side of the field. Confusing!
