I’ve worked 40 hours in the last 3 days, about to go in for my 4th 12 hour shift in a row 🙃 currently feeling like a zombie and this close 👌🏻 to shotgunning a monster

In 3 days, we have lost 4 patients. 2/4 of them we did chest compressions until their ribs broke. 2/4 of them were under the age of 26; 2/4 of them had stage IV cancer, and 1/4 of them was alone because their family didn’t want to be there for that. Hug your nurse friends

It’s crazy that I forget I’m at the age where it’s “normal” for people to be getting married and having babies so when I see someone I know that got married I’m just like ohhhhhhh shit how scandalous and then I’m like oh wait they just have their life together

The amount of people who have asked me today if my tattoo hurt. No actually it felt really good to have my skin scraped off for 5.5 hours 🙄😂
