Each region can produce singular wine b/c of unique terroir that can’t be replicated elsewhere. Puligny-Montrachet isn’t a Russian River Chardonnay just as a Pauillac isn’t a Napa Cab. (1/2)

@tmach06 @KevinMassare @MikeGarafolo My understanding is that the NFL uses a formula (which takes into account a player's average salary, playing time, and awards) and if that formula has them with a net loss in FA, they are eligible for comp pick(s). What's your understanding about how it works?

@tmach06 @KevinMassare @MikeGarafolo Not exactly. It calculates into the comp pick calculations based on free agents lost vs free agents signed. So keeping him and loosing him to free agency works into those calculations regardless if they sign free agents.

@KevinMassare @MikeGarafolo Seeing what pass rushers have been getting on the market, I wouldn't be so sure. Za'Darieus Smith and a 2026 7th went to Detroit for a 2025 5th and a 2026 6th. For something like that, I'd rather get a comp pick or a chance to resign him.
