This paints an amazing picture of who i truly am, the love for our team, an origin story, and what the Hogfarmers are about.
I love being a fan of this team through the highs and lows. ❤️🎗

@gsykes34@fret1231@DCDieHard69 For sure. This just goes back to the original comment that isnt wasnt controversial. It was, and it can't be dismissed is all I wanted to point out. Its definitely layers to it though.
No one argued the name or logo "destroyed lives." That was never the standard. The debate was whether a racial term/logo should represent an NFL franchise. Native Americans were never unanimous, some supported it, while many tribal leaders and Native organizations opposed it. Saying "the majority preferred it" ignores that there was real disagreement within Native communities. That was the issue.
@fret1231@gsykes34@DCDieHard69 I've chatted with both of those guys for many years now. They are good peeps so it easy to have this conversation with them. No disrespect. Just dialogue.
I thought this was an interesting idea.
When John Riggins jersey is retired this year the team officially retires the Redskins logo. 🤔

@fret1231@gsykes34@DCDieHard69 I typically dont speak to far into this topic because I don't know everything and dont feel knowledgeable enough to speak but I know for a fact NA were opposed to the logo as well.
I would go to games and see 100s of NA protest it over the years. I saw it with my own eyes.
@DCDieHard69@ontheway652@gsykes34 Also. I appreciate that and respect we can have a civil conversation on the subject. Not many fans can do that workout acting crazy hahahahahaha
@gsykes34@DCDieHard69 I know a few of the prominent figures representing the wetzel family have chatted with me about how the logo wasnt legally targeted for change but I just dont see how the business of the Washington Commanders would dive back into that.
@DCDieHard69@gsykes34 Ayye. Im just stated that it was an issue for many years. Lol
Going back and forth on how many didn't like is going back to having the same discussion we would have before it was changed. Lol
It was definitely more than a few. Multiple tribes protested it AND the coalition of over 100 tribes publicly denounced it. How many from those tribes? Who knows.
All im pointing out is that is was definitely an issue like the name.
Like i told another dude. I think it would be cool to see it on a throwback.
@gsykes34@DCDieHard69 Thats simply not true. Native American organizations campaigned against the Redskins logo through the "Not Your Mascot" movement for many years.
This was WAAAAY before the cancel culture time.
@gsykes34@DCDieHard69 The titans logo wasnt in the cancel culture era and deemed racist and offensive. Lol
They are creating a commanders brand identity slowly. The Roman warrior style vibe. Its growing.
@gsykes34@DCDieHard69 Dont take the conversation as im anti bring the logo back. I think it would be dope on a throwback uniform.
Im not sure how fitting it would be with the commanders brand as I think Redskins and the logo go hand in hand.
