A project based in Holborough Lakes, Snodland, run by volunteers, to support our declining wild hedgehogs. We aim to raise awareness and enhance their habitat.
I will be joining @HolboroughBakes in the HL Village Hall tomorrow & Good Friday. I will be fundraising, selling gifts, Easter Draw tickets & Name the Easter Bunny competition. Pop along, grab a coffee & treat & have a chat about how you can support our local hedgehogs.
Saturday I will be at New Town Social Club in Halling from midday selling some lovely brand new items and gifts. Also selling last minute Easter Draw Tickets; Name the Easter Bunny competition; & try your luck on the tombola! Please come along and see us.
Hufflepuff is back! He was a Snodland hog which was rescued and rehabilitated with Thorne Hedgehog Rescue C.I.C, but was unable to go back to where he was found. He was released in my garden mid November weighing 921g. He turned up in my garden mid March weighing 750g (-19%).
Biscuit is back! He now weighs 752g. He had a tick removed & treatment for fleas. He had a skin treatment on his tummy & legs. I last saw him at the end of September, weighing 991g, so he has only lost about a quarter of his body weight over the Winter.
Another great prize which has been added to the Easter Draw Eggstravaganza is: @ShepherdNeame Brewery Tour for 2 in Faversham. This is in addition to the the distillery, vineyard and winery tour prizes available to win! I am so grateful to all of the companies who have donated.
I've made up some Craft Kits as prizes for the Easter Draw Eggstravaganza. The draw is on Sunday pm, so not long left to get your tickets (just £2 each) and over 70 prizes to win! - https://t.co/OypFGBY9f6
Thank you to all the companies who have donated prizes.
And the big unchipped male in the Booth Close feeder is now called Boothy! He weighs 1286g and was treated for fleas and had 1 tick removed from his eye. He is very fluffy! Faith and Boothy were separated into nearby houses & the feeding station cleaned and refreshed!
The female that had been blocked in a feeding station by the unchipped male was found to be Faith. She was rescued as an orphaned hoglet from the pond last Summer. She was released late September weighing 567g but now weighs 713g. She is probably pregnant!

I had a bit of a shock when doing a community feeding station the other day...
I certainly didn't expect to find this - both sitting on food bowls!
It turned out to be a male blocking a female in! I assume he had been trying to mate with her and then it got light.
