@GbdocTChost@AlexHaggett1 I’ll have to miss this one with my 5:30am start but wanted to shared my HbA1c result received today - 48 🥳 down from 57 in January. So pleased @theGBDOC@ypsomed

I also was on a call with DSN earlier this week who thought i was in the gym before 7am so I could eat more and “enjoy my food”. As if I wouldn’t eat if I didn’t exercise! NOT a healthy attitude. 2 examples of dangerous attitudes. Thanks for reading the rant @GbdocTChost#GBDoc
@GbdocTChost thought a lot about last nights chat today! Remembered a GP who prescribed me Metformin to “improve my control without putting on weight” 13 years ago! I was 22 with a BMI of no more than 22 - more body fat than now but healthy all the same.
Ended up in hospital a few months later with severe dehydration & tachycardia. Paramedics & docs went ballistic I was immediately taken off the pills. They also really hurt my stomach & digestive system. #GBDoc
@GbdocTChost A1 Ive fluctuated over the years but usually not due to diabetes since I’ve had stable control for the last 8 years+ - medications Ive taken for depression & contraceptives have made me gain weight but as soon as I’ve stopped taking them I’ve always lost it without trying. #GBDoc
@GbdocTChost A5 - on a bad day with multiple hypos, feeling as if I have to constantly eat when I really don’t want to. I struggle on those days. #GBDoc
@GbdocTChost Carbs input directly from food packet readings, bolus taken 15 minutes before eating both times… so what did I do wrong? Any ideas? (I did use the boost function on my HCL for 45 minutes to get myself below 15 after the sandwich - so it may have been that) #GBDoc
@GbdocTChost A3a - somewhere in between depending on too many factors Including time of day, if I’ve exercised that day, what kind of exercise I did if I did any, whether I’ve got sore muscles from the gym, whether I had 2+ drinks the day before, how much sleep I had the night before… #GBDoc
@GBDocInfo My DSN asked me to put 1 of my carb ratios up to 1:10 to stop my pump having to work hard. Doing that today and yesterday has resulted in having to shovel loads of jelly babies before the gym and still having a post-gym hypo. I even used a reduced basal pre-gym today to no avail!
I wondered whether any of you ever feel very drowsy can’t stay awake tired after too many hypos? I’ve had three today and was struggling by 9:30pm! How many do people think is too many in one day - interested to hear views?! (I think more than one a day is too much) #GBDoc
@GbdocTChost A3: ignorant comments also! I just wonder how it’s possible in 2024 that people still ask whether I should be eating something because I have T1. And that people ask if I ate a lot of sweets when I was younger hence getting T1. Seriously. #GBDoc
@GbdocTChost A6 - I’d just like to see stuff being posted on any channel being consistently accurate! I still think there are a lot of incorrect/stigma-based views out there. There’s a way to go. #GBDoc
