I’ve just found a note written by my 14 year old undiagnosed self, which was basically a masking guide. “Keep a humoured look in your eye”. “Do hug people and act friendly at ALL times”. Sometimes masking is unconscious and sometimes it’s literally writing a list of how to be 🙁

The advert says (part 3): I will ask you questions about how you feel about different ways people talk about autism.
We can have a phone call or video call or just type. It will take about 1 hour. If you want, we could have 2 meetings instead of 1, but that is your choice.
Are you an autistic adult living in the UK?
I’m looking for autistic people to take part in research exploring how they experience the different ways that autism is talked about.
Please contact [email protected] if you’re interested
