18 - Lamine Yamal is only the second player aged 18 or younger to open the scoring in a FIFA World Cup match - the other was a 17-year-old Pelé for Brazil v Wales in 1958.
Emulating.
🚨🗣️ İlkay Gündoğan:
“My young son, Kaïs, came to me one day almost in tears and said, ‘Dad, I really want Lamine Yamal’s shirt.’
So I sent Lamine a message. Just one message.
The next day, he sent me a photo of a signed jersey ready for Kaïs. What touched me most wasn’t only the shirt, but the note he wrote on it: ‘A hug!!’
Moments like that show the person behind the player. Lamine is still very young, but he already has a huge personality, a big heart, and an incredible mentality. He didn’t have to do it, but he did it immediately.
My son will never forget that gesture, and honestly, neither will I.”
Matt Damon reveals the craziest sporting event he's ever been to was a football match in Argentina
“My wife's from Argentina. We went to spend Christmas there about 12 years ago. Her family's team, Boca Juniors, which is a very popular team in Buenos Aires is in the final”
“I say to her uncle Hector, ‘Hey, can we go to this game?’ He gets this very serious look on his face and he's like, ‘We can go, no women, no children.’ I was like, what? I thought I was going to take the kids and we were going to go to the game”
“Well… I saw why when we went because we had to get through I think three police barricades. There was temporary fencing with barbed wire put up. It was just absolute madness and police with riot gear outside”
“There was nobody sitting in the best seats because that was the distance that people could throw things and hit each other”
“Our team won. The other team's fans are filing out and the trophy presentation finishes and I say to Hector, ‘Should we go?’ He goes no… it was because they needed time to get out of the neighborhood where the stadium was and you had to give them like a 45 minute head start”
“When they did let us out, they actually held us in these temporary kind of cages. I was like, what are we waiting for now? ‘They still need five more minutes to clear the neighborhood’”
“It was absolutely crazy. Definitely the craziest sporting event I've been to”
Dodged a kid crossing a red light on a bike hit a utility pole dead straight in my @cybertruck The inertia of the impact was completely absorbed, felt not like a typical impact at all, industry leading crumple zones ftw. My family and the red light runner are all safe, even the pole was not damaged @elonmusk@Tesla
Nicki Minaj pays tribute to late producer Tay Keith during X/Twitter Space:
“I heard about the passing of Tay Keith, and it’s such a tragic loss. I’m sending my condolences to his family and his fans, and the artists who had the pleasure of working with him. I don’t believe I met him, but I was on one track as a feature (“Pound Town 2”) that he did, and he was clearly so beyond talented. What a talented, talented person gone so soon.”
“Alex if you dey hear me, dem dey chop for your burial oo”
“Alex dem dey groove for your burial oo”
Kunle Remi is the only person that can do a 11 minute vlog at someone’s burial and not get dragged for it
The humor, the subtle jab, the thoughtfulness, the silent grief and the mission to light up everyone’s heart with a different energy
GOD BLESS YOU KUNLE REMI WHEREVER YOU ARE ❤️
For those aspiring ballers that’ll go on trials in Europe, master your technical ability.
Serious teams won’t test you in 11v11, you may not even play 11v11 throughout the trial. Boniface just affirmed what I said yesterday.
When they put you in a rondo, those touches, they’re watching. Cone games/conditioning, they want to see how fast you think. Even the training programs, how you do them.
If you’re expecting 11v11, I laugh o. Please make sure you work on these techniques.
This is like multi-club ownership😭😭
Imagine owning two clubs and both are playing in the same tournament, won’t there be conflict of interest?👀😅
