Honestly, some of una dey take this thing too far. What do you mean by “we are engaging only verified users”? Una dey run X like say na some exclusive, high-level corporate boardroom. Relax. This is a social media platform, not a gated community or private investment club. X was designed for interaction, conversation, exchange of ideas, and community building not unnecessary segregation and classism.

Yes, everybody wants to make money and that’s fine. Hustle is not a crime. But while you’re chasing payouts and analytics, don’t lose sight of the original objective of the platform which is engagement, connection, and visibility. You don’t grow influence by forming small cliques and shutting others out. Growth comes from openness, consistency and genuine interaction.

Discriminating based on verification status is honestly a very foolish strategy. Verified does not automatically mean valuable, smart or impactful, just like unverified does not mean irrelevant. Some of the most engaging, intelligent voices on this app are not verified.

If your plan is to turn X into a toxic business environment, don’t be surprised when the engagement dries up. Interaction is the lifeblood. Without it, the money you’re chasing won’t last.
