First of all, The Budget of @NCSUganda1 is appropriated by @Parliament_Ug.
The NCS Board that is Chaired by @TashobyaAmbrose, is vested with the powers to make allocations to the Federations and Associations based on their submitted annual work plans and budgets.

It’s Important to note that the Auditor General audits all the NCS funds and so far there is no report that has been brought to my attention about misuse of the NCS funds.

This can no longer be looked at as a disaster or an emergency because Karamoja before and during NRM's 40+ years has been in this state. Any serious government ought to have put in place a sustainable measure to address this catastrophy. Karamoja needs programs not projects.

The situation in Karamoja, especially in Kotido and Kaabong, is increasingly alarming. The disturbing images emerging from the region demand our collective compassion and urgent action.

I thank H.E. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for his rapid intervention and deployment of food relief. However, I believe we must now scale up the national response and widen the clarion call.

Government, development partners, humanitarian organisations, the private sector, religious institutions and all Ugandans of goodwill must rally together. This is a moment for national solidarity. No Ugandan should face hunger in silence when, together, we have the capacity to respond.

Karamoja is Uganda. Its pain is our pain. Its people are our people. Let us act urgently, generously and together.
