I wrote this EP as a transition from my old life of addiction and worldly ways, to a new found identity rooted in love, acceptance, and true spiritual awakening.

I pray those in the recovery community (and everywhere) feel the message of this song. It’s hard to let go of the thing that we felt was part of our identity, but God will always be the bigger, better choice. Love will always win. So do it for yourself, if not for your creator. Let go of the thing holding you back. Make there be no other God besides love. 💛✝️

They say there’s a reason for everything, but honestly? It took me a long time to see the “why” behind the “what.”

Lately, I’ve realized that how we walk through the fire is just a testament to who we are at our core. Growing closer to the Lord has changed my lens—I’m seeing deeper into myself, into others, and learning how to love without condition. After surviving near-death experiences, I’ve stopped fearing the end. I know there’s something beautiful after we close our eyes for the last time. When my time comes, I just want to know I did a good job and that I served how I was created to. For me, singing and making music is what I do to bring connection, and in recovery, the opposite of addiction is connection.

It’s been over a decade since my last EP and I’ve been sitting on these songs for a year, waiting for the “right moment”. In Hebrew gematria, 27 signifies completeness or the fulfillment of divine purposes. And with today being the 27th, I see how God has brought me here, to this moment. My life has come full circle in some way, and even though it’s only been a decade, it somehow feels like a lifetime ago. Re-watching my recovery story through these songs has helped me find a new level of tranquility in my higher power.

My hope is that you’ll find as much peace and joy in them as I have.
