On the eve the start of early voting, a message to the people of HD 30.
Restoring integrity and trust to the people of House District 30 means electing a new representative on May 19th.
Starting tomorrow, that is squarely in your hands.
Why is it okay for Jon Husted to come back to Ohio to raise money for his failing campaign…but not to testify as a material witness in the criminal case for the largest bribery scandal in Ohio history?
The average KY school bus driver makes $15,364/yr. At that income they've received *nothing* from reducing the state's income tax. But under the House budget, their healthcare costs would soar $6,422/yr.
KY's richest 1%? They're getting $27,482/yr from the state income tax cuts.
Trying to get any kind of answer out of the allegedly "non-partisan" SBA Office of Advocacy is like pulling teeth.
The "incorrect premise" he's talking about is a quote from his own book.
Five years ago today, the president incited an attempted insurrection of the United States government.
He failed to quell it, then he pardoned the perpetrators.
Never forget.
America must not start another reckless, unjustified war fought for the interests of oil companies.
While Maduro is a cruel and illegitimate dictator, Trump is not a president who prioritizes democracy or civil rights at home or abroad.
If this is actually about drugs, we cannot ignore the hypocrisy of a president who pardons a drug trafficker like former Honduran president Juan Orlando Hernandez one day, and then bombs another country the next under the same premise. Trump is using our troops for personal gain, for oil companies, and in the interest of billionaire executives, not the interest of the American people.
Only Congress has the ability to declare war. Republican leadership needs to wake up and join us in reigning in this President.
@thegreatgig8@atrupar He'd clearly NEVER ever heard of the Monroe Doctrine! I love when he does that; just reminds us he's never read a book in his life. The people who took his school tests for him must have been well paid.
Merry Christmas from my family to yours! To celebrate, I’m sharing the not-so secret recipe for our family’s holiday hot chocolate. We hope it brings a little extra warmth and joy to your holiday season ☕️🍫🎄
Furman Holiday Hot Chocolate Recipe:
¾ Cup Milk
¼ Cup Heavy Whipping Cream
1 Tablespoon Hershey’s Chocolate Syrup
1½ Tablespoons Cocoa Powder
4 Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate Melting Wafers
2 Teaspoons Granulated Sugar
1 Dollop Marshmallow Cream (to taste)
1 Candy Cane
* Mix milk, cream, and syrup in your favorite mug.
* Add cocoa powder, sugar, and Ghirardelli wafers, stirring a few times. The powder will be a little clumpy and wafers not completely melted.
* Microwave for 45-60 sec. and stir completely until the powder is dissolved and wafers melted.
* Add a spoonful of marshmallow cream – or more! You can substitute a teaspoon (or more) of sugar.
*Top with a candy cane dipped into the mug or crush the cane and sprinkle the pieces on top.
Enjoy!
Exciting news - we're officially on the ballot! Together with our family and friends, Dean and I traveled to Frankfort to file my candidacy to serve as your next State Senator for District 6. This moment would not be possible without the encouragement, love, and support so many of you have provided.
In the months ahead, we'll connect with our neighbors across District 6 to hear how we can care for them and their families, and how they want our next State Senator to care for Kentucky.
We're 85% of the way to our fundraising goal for the year, and would love your support to start 2026 in the strongest position possible to win the primary in May and the general election next November: https://t.co/rltuCFiq8k

Thank you to @MattGlo from the Courier Journal for covering our protest yesterday. He interviewed Sandy Frederick— a 73-year-old on a fixed-income said an increase in her health care costs would eat into the little disposable income she has each month. Link in the comments.
@AndyBeshearKY@sethmeyers What a great opportunity to show KY in a positive light...thanks Andy for showing the world we've got a lot going on here. Well done Andy, and this surely helps your national prospects. That's always good for KY!
Former mayor and Jefferson County judge-executive Harvey Sloane, who lives in D.C., was in Louisville today for a pro-Medicaid rally and a reception at Democratic headquarters. Here he is with former mayors Jerry Abramson and Greg Fischer. Mayor Craig Greenberg came by later.
