@RyufBoi Grey-tone skin is often associated with the drow in D&D, and in dark elves in general. When they want to implicate the characters as either dabbling in dark arts or tainted in general, but without using a real-world skintone to cause any unfortunate implications.
@AizenObsessor@MBTYuGiOh That's not what power creep is? Power creep raises the power ceiling, increasing the overall power of ALL Magic cards by its creation (e.g. a lightning bolt that scrys 2). Increasing the power floor by not printing bad cards on purpose is a choice made back in ELD.
@CaballeroShotg1@MBTYuGiOh Being the contrarian would require that I'm not of the majority opinion. So no, I'm not the contrarian. And I'm sorry, but your "valid reasons" are probably nostalgia and disliking change. I've seen every argument against UB. I've yet to see a good one.
@AizenObsessor@MBTYuGiOh You seem to not understand what power creep is or how the supply chain works. So, for the first one, power creep is when they increase the ceiling of power (e.g. allowing Blue 2/2 for 2 without downside). For the second, the cards need to be printed and shipped to be available.
@AizenObsessor@MBTYuGiOh Not that close to release, and not by that much. They make minor edits up to something like a year to nine months (ish) before release, but then it gets locked down and they send it to the printers.
@AizenObsessor@MBTYuGiOh You do realize everything in the sets released after Spider-Man were finalized before they got the feedback on Spider-Man right?
