As the Secretary of the Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Committee of the Parliament of the Federal Republic of Somalia and the Secretary of the Friendship Committee between the Somali Parliament and China, I categorically deny the baseless and misleading statements recently circulated regarding the @ChineseSomalia and Chinese companies in Somalia.

The Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Committee functions as a collective body, and no single member is authorized to speak on its behalf without official approval.

The recent remarks made by an individual MP do not reflect the stance of the committee or the Somali Parliament.

Somalia and China share a strong and historic friendship built on mutual respect, cooperation, and shared development goals. The Parliament of Somalia remains committed to strengthening this relationship and fostering constructive diplomatic and economic partnerships.
