In an attempt at a mix up she tossed her frame to the side, stopping in the middle of a cartwheelโs rotation. She took the few split moments on her hands to try and twist a heel against his jaw.
โ
โ
She always enjoyed sparring with Danny. He was one of the few who could offer any real challenge with hand to hand.
โ
In one swift motion her arms raised in defense to catch his ankle, eyes locked in the second of stillness.
โ
โMmph.โ
โ
A grunt left her and a hand
โ
roundhouse kick aimed to the side of her head. Sure she would dodge it or block in some way, Danny followed through by completing a full 360 rotation and going to sweep Colleen's legs from under her.
โ
released while he tugged the appendage back, attempting to read his next move.
โ
Crouching in her stance she hopped over his rotating foot with ease.
โAre we going easy on me.แฃโ
โ
They fell into a rhythm, a response given for each jab or foot flying from the other.
โ
โ
She dropped a duffle bag by the door as she entered, tying up her hair as each step lead her to the mat.
โ
โTraffic was a pain, but yโknow I wouldnโt miss an opportunity to flip you on your ass.โ
โ
The ginger stretched to and fro before settling in a stance.
โ
โReady.แฃโ
โ
I was wondering why I havenโt seen you flipping around rooftops lately but no doubt about it, youโve never been one to get rusty.
I trust the family business has kept you busy though .แฃ
I've actually been taking a break from fighting. Spent the last few months meditating and getting in touch with my chi, but I can still deliver a mean right hook.
โ
After taking a seat she looked through the menu, reverting her gaze towards him at the nudge.
โ
โLetโs do it,โ she replied with a smile.
โ
โWhatโre you in the mood for?โ Colleen looked through their options for toppings, crust, and sauce; an endless array.

He led her to a booth, sitting across from her. Teasingly, he nudged her ankle with his foot as they looked at the menu.
"So you wanna share something? I doubt I could finish one of these pies on my own."

sophisticated palette.โ
โ
Sarcasm dripped from her tone as she stepped out of the car, pocketing the keys. Her stride continued beside him as they walked up towards the establishment.
โ
โIโll be nice and let you pick the toppings.โ
โ
โ
โWell, how else would you to stop a raging rhino.โ
โ
She let out a laugh, the look on Mistyโs face in the moment was priceless. Their drive came to a finish as she pulled into the parking lot, finding an empty space to roll into.
โ
โRiight, I forget you have such a

Before long, they were nearing the pizza place. He turned his eyes towards her once again, giving her a glance before turning his vision back to the building.
"Well let's hope it's worth the hype, or you're never picking dinner again."
โ
She rolled her eyes at such response, a smile creeping along her lips with his nudge.
โ
โYeah yeah yeah, hey, itโs a friday night! Canโt a girl live a little?โ
โ
With their destination decided she turned right at the next light, auburn tufts swaying through the wind.

โ
Settling into her seat Colleen tossed the duffle bag towards the back. A turn of ignition and the restored mustang rumbled to life.
โ
The car smoothly merged onto a main street, her hand manually shifting gears as they picked up speed.
โ
โHmm,โ

He held the door open for Colleen and followed them to the car, sliding into the passenger's seat. "What are you feeling? Mexican? Chinese?" Danny asked. "I'm down with anything, if I'm being real."
โ
After about 15 minutes sheโd step back into the dojo floor, a duffle bag strapped over her shoulder.
โ
She sported loose jeans and a midriff exposed T-Shirt reading:
HEROES FOR HIRE!
CASH ONLY.
โ
Keys swung lazily around her finger.
โ
โReady to hit the road?โ
โ
โGuilty and I know just the place.โ
โ
Sheโd reach out her hand, fixing the longer strands of blonde left disorganized by his pulled mask.
โ
โFine, but you better have your wallet.โ
โ
Teasing a smile sheโd turn, headed towards the opposite locker room.

He gave her a glance of admiration, assuring her that she did well in their fight before stepping away. "Let me get changed and we can go out. You're driving, by the way."
