Foot bath time for the Fleckvieh incalf heifers.

This foot bath automatically washes itself out and then replenish itself with a clean foot bath solution after a number of cows go through it.

We have it set to replenish after 80 Cows go through.

On farm this morning with farmer who started up last year with 2 A5s. Decided to use railway sleepers for cow paths. On less trafficked cow paths, plan is to turn sleepers lengthways so path only will be 1.5m wide.

On a farm that started up in spring 2017 with 2 A4s, going very well. Averaging 2.1kg solids & 2.2 milkings on an ABC system. Driving down the main lane today and the B cow lane runs alongside it🐄🐄 Cows heading out to paddock have no issues walking by the traffic

Farmer that started up this year with 1 A5 in Kilkenny has an underpass going under the milk lorry lane. Cows have no issue walking through it, even though all 3 lanes for ABC come up out of it.
