@kylejguy When yall were trading threes in the second half I thought I was going to have a heart attack. Felt like 10 or 12 consecutive possessions with a bullseye from either team. Exhilarating. Was a joy to root for yall.
If you're still following college athletics, why?
The unis are fake and gay.
The jobs the "education" is for won't exist in 40 months, if they even exist today.
The illiterate athletes are in it for fleeting clout and money.
How long will you pretend it's the good old days?
Are y'all still invested in 19 year old, tiktok slop addicted, placeless athletes playing for a fake university in a fake commonwealth whose leaders all hate you?
Just checking. Every few months I remember how much time I used to waste on this. I encourage you to stop.
2019 was the high water mark for college athletics in America.
The American uni system's business model is increasingly absurd. The bubble will pop. Covid exposed the rot and ideological insanity.
The sports are mercenary. Increasingly focused on online gambling.
It's over.
You're rooting for fake "students", at an increasingly fake school, the flagship of an increasingly fake commonwealth, which is one of 50+ economic zones, inside another economic zone.
None of this is real, anymore. Invest your time & attention locally.
I just want to check in with fans of college athletics. You understand that everybody is just doing ChatGPT and socializing now, right? There is zero chance that in twenty years any of these institutions have anything like the legitimacy they have had.
"The student debt is forgiven, and Roe is overturned."
"They still believe you to be senile?"
"Yes, your holiness."
"Now, you must destroy the faithless Democrats. 'A house divided cannot stand.' Though none but Christ and his Vicar shall know your sacrifice."
"God wills it."
@blloyd8298 I know what we can do. Hold tryouts for members of the student body, and then take them to Junction, Texas for a grueling off-season conditioning program that really helps them gel as a team.
