“To change everything, we need everyone. Each and every one of us must participate in the climate resistance movement. We cannot just say we care; we must show it.” https://t.co/o1ZfuXeWta
Youth activism is low but the incorporation of social media and political engagement can help increase education and participation. Environmental advocacy has developed through social media and Twitter is a tool that engages youth in the conversation #EM203Robin#EM203Problem
By using the tools afforded to us by social media, we can come together as youth to create change and bring to light issues that directly affect us, like the climate crisis!

This video is a work of political commentary and falls in line with fair use laws. Ellen's team used their power to manipulate how social media platforms enforce these laws, taking away a voice that can shape and inform public opinion on the Bush controversy #EM203Robin
Last week, Ellen DeGeneres fraudulently used false copyright claims to censor my critique of her erasing Bush's Iraqi victims.
This week, let's unerase thousands of his Black Katrina victims, left begging for help until they were met with tanks and guns instead food and medicine
@HopeEM203 Digital literacy has definitely had a strong impact on all learners. We can now benefit from all sorts of media, technology, and interactions to feed our minds with knowledge. This sets up opportunities for learners who aren't the most effective with traditional learning.
So far in #EM203Robin I have learned about the development of technology over the years and how this growth has fueled the development of new education programs which are able to leverage technology to enhance the learning process around the globe.
@MattCam49978914 It's so interesting to learn about the ways new technology can be used for education programs! Especially in an age where social media is so heavily used for entertainment purposes, it's great to see the same technology be used to further the education of young minds!
@EM203MGallagher This is a really interesting perspective you bring up, Meghan! Many people view social media in a negative light and fail to acknowledge the positive impacts social media can have if used to create a collective system of knowledge and interaction!
@MKamel_Em203 The use of technology to help people see trends and patterns is so essential to understanding the possibilities of communication today! Technology, like infographics, is a really helpful tool when trying to convey information to an audience in an engaging way!
@rensim_em203 It's really interesting that you chose to learn a song verse in German! I find learning by doing is something is the most effective method to learn new things because talking about an activity is always very different than actually doing it!
@EM203OliviaM It is really interesting to see how learners, but more specifically teachers have adapted to include a more multi-media approach! I think this new wave of teaching will help students engage more meaningfully with course materials as it relates more to our daily lives!
This is why a multi-modal approach is helpful in learning! It works to encourage higher levels of digital literacy which can be greatly beneficial in our new age of technology and social media! #EM203Robin
There is an emphasis on a new wave of digital literacy that is impacting the way we learn! Using non-traditional modes of learning is beneficial to more visual learners, but the combination of materials can be somewhat confusing. #EM203Robin
