This is the reality. People in LA have become so used to dogs suffering on the streets (in this case, tied up with a piece of wood over him) that people like the person in the grey T-shirt just walk by. No questions asked, no looking for help. Just walking by. And, frankly, how can we blame this person when horrors like this are ALL over Los Angeles. We should not be numb to this. We should see this and think "well, this doesn't seem normal". But that's what the animal crisis has done to Los Angeles. It has made images like this all too familiar.
Nissan is a great dog 🐶waiting for his turn to be adopted and get out of Rocky Mount NC Shelter. Could you be the one? 💖Could you please adopt Nissan? In the meantime we need to find a rescue⭐️ to save Nissan should he not be adopted!! BUT Nissan only has 6 pledges. And he really, really needs more pledges to attract a rescue AND we really don’t want to wait till the last minute because Nissan’s time is limited and the clock is ticking⏰

URGENT IN NEWTON COUNTY, GA!!💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔
KERA was Thrown away. Not figuratively. Literally.💔💔💔💔💔
Someone threw Kera out of a moving car… and kept driving.
They never looked back. Thankfully, a stranger did.
A good Samaritan stopped, picked up the broken pieces of a dog they had never met, and made sure she survived.
That stranger gave Kera another chance..
Diego The Pet Photographer gave Kera the best day we possibly could.
She got fresh air. She felt the sun on her face.
For a few precious hours… she wasn’t “the shelter dog.” She was just Kera.
A dog who leaned into every person she met, as if she was trying to memorize what kindness feels like.
But tomorrow she wakes up back in her kennel.
And unless someone steps up Monday could be the last morning.
I can’t stop thinking about how unfair that is.
A dog survives being thrown from a moving car only to lose her life because there isn’t enough space.
She deserved more than being thrown away. She deserves more than one beautiful day. She deserves a lifetime of them.
THIS IS KERA💔💔💔💔💔
🚨 Deadline: Monday 7/6
Please help us save her life!!!

Can anyone foster this beautiful boy to save his life? 🙏
They said they were blown away by how handsome this beautiful boy is😍
He's in San Bernardino County shelter, Ca
Hi… I’m Luna (#LA4037). 🐶✨
I was here once before, just a tiny puppy, and I thought I had found my forever. But life had other plans… and now I’m back, waiting for my real second chance. 💔
I’m 3 years old now - a beautiful Shepherd mix with so much love to give. I might be a little shy when we first meet but give me a little time and patience… and you’ll see my true self shine. I’m playful, affectionate, and oh - belly rubs? Those are my absolute favorite. 🐾💖
What I’m really looking for is someone who will help me feel safe again. Someone experienced, kind, and ready to show me that forever really can last. I’d love to meet the whole family before heading home because when I give my heart, I mean it. 💛
I’m still here. Still hoping. Still believing my person is out there.
Come meet me at North Shore Animal League America in Port Washington, NY or email [email protected] for more information on me… maybe this time, it’s finally my turn. 🐾✨

Pauling and his colleague Matthias Rath discovered that plaque deposits in human arteries are made up of a specific form of cholesterol called lipoprotein(a). Lp(a). Not ordinary LDL.
Here is what they proposed.
When vitamin C is chronically low, collagen production drops. Collagen is the structural protein that holds your artery walls together. Without enough vitamin C, the arterial walls weaken and develop micro-cracks.
Your body is not stupid. It senses the damage and sends Lp(a) to patch the cracks. Like a bandage on a wound. Like plaster on a broken wall.
Over time, more cracks form. More Lp(a) is deposited. The patches build up. That buildup is what we call atherosclerotic plaque.
The plaques are not the disease. They are the repair attempt. The disease is chronic vitamin C deficiency. Subclinical scurvy.
Pauling and Rath tested this on guinea pigs. They deprived them of vitamin C. The guinea pigs developed rapid atherosclerosis filled with Lp(a). When they restored vitamin C, negligible Lp(a) was found in the arteries.
Pauling's recommendation was straightforward.
Vitamin C: 3,000 to 5,000 mg per day. Some patients took more. Pauling himself took 18,000 mg per day. He lived to 93.
L-Lysine: 3,000 to 5,000 mg per day. Lysine competes with Lp(a) for binding sites on artery walls. At sufficient doses, the lysine binds to Lp(a) in the bloodstream before it can attach to damaged collagen. It can even pull existing Lp(a) deposits loose.
L-Proline: an additional amino acid that works with lysine to block Lp(a) binding from a different angle.
The logic is simple. Vitamin C strengthens the artery wall so it does not crack. Lysine and proline prevent Lp(a) from patching cracks that already exist. Together, they address both the cause and the consequence.
This is not a drug. These are nutrients your body already uses. Available at any health food store for a few dollars.
Sadly, she dies today. No more chances. 😭😭😭😭
She has a tumor that DEFORMS her body & causes unremitting pain, but what a FACE‼️
If you're looking for crystal pure innocence , there it is.
#A389121 Lovely GRAYBEE! I can't begin to fully describe what I see. Grief, yes, but gentleness, kindness, & genuine suffering!
She's such a PRECIOUS girl, a 6️⃣ yo Mastiff mix, & we only have until tomorrow to save her!!! 🆘🆘🆘
Please, she needs to have that bleeding 🩸 Mammary Tumor removed so she can lead a normal life!! #CorpusChristiACS
This is HER chance for happiness.
Please help her achieve it.
POV: You’re trying to get ready for a night out, but your bestie is still a complete mess. 😂🐶
That’s basically life with Oreo (#LA2389) and Henny (#V33707).
In this friendship, Henny has apparently appointed herself head stylist, emotional support specialist, and full-time face groomer. 😭❤️
These two girls have been together through everything and are hoping their next chapter includes a forever home where they can stay side-by-side. Oreo, a 4-year-old Pointer mix, and Henny, a 9-year-old Terrier mix, are sweet, affectionate, and completely devoted to each other.
Honestly, the love between them is impossible to miss. One look at Henny carefully grooming Oreo and you’ll understand why everyone falls for this adorable duo. 🥹🐾
They’re looking for a patient, loving adopter ready for twice the cuddles, twice the laughs, and one very special bond. 💕
Meet them at our Port Washington, New York Adoption Center.
Modern science still can’t explain how any of us who grew up in the 1970s are still walking around breathing today.
We didn’t have helmets, knee pads, or apps tracking our location. We had one rule: “Be home when the streetlights come on.” That was it. We drank from the garden hose like it was a fine wine, turned a pile of dirt into an entire kingdom, and settled most arguments with rock-paper-scissors or a quick bike race down the biggest hill we could find.
We fell. A lot. We got sunburned, stung by bees, and occasionally sent home with a note from the neighbor. But we also learned how to get back up, dust ourselves off, and keep playing. We built forts out of cardboard and imagination. We made friends with whoever showed up in the neighborhood that day. And we figured out most of our problems without a single adult hovering over us.
Were ’70s kids the toughest generation? Maybe we just had the kind of childhood that quietly built something stronger than we realized at the time — real independence, quick thinking, and the deep-down knowing that a scraped knee never killed anybody.
The world feels a little different now, but I’m grateful for the one that raised us. It gave us stories we’re still laughing about decades later.
What’s one thing from your childhood that would make today’s parents clutch their pearls… but secretly made you who you are? Drop it below 👇 I know y’all have some good ones.
Most people throw away the one thing that can grow an entirely new blueberry bush.
That tiny blueberry in your fridge contains dozens of seeds that can become a fruit-producing plant with a little patience.
Here's how:
Mash a ripe blueberry in a small glass with water, separate the tiny seeds, plant them in moist acidic potting soil, lightly cover them, then place a clear plastic bag over the pot to create a mini greenhouse. Keep it warm and bright, and you may see seedlings begin to emerge within a couple of weeks.
Blueberries love acidic soil, consistent moisture (not soggy roots), and at least 6 hours of sun each day.
One important reality check: growing from seed is a long game. It can take 3–4 years or longer before you harvest a meaningful crop, and because blueberries don't grow true to seed, the fruit may not be identical to the berry you started with.
If you enjoy gardening, though, there's something incredibly satisfying about turning a single piece of fruit into a thriving bush that could produce blueberries for years to come.
Sometimes the most rewarding garden projects don't begin at the nursery... they begin in your kitchen.
Tulsi Gabbard just described the actual operating system of Washington and it’s somehow even dumber and more insulting than the conspiracy versions.
She needed one printed document for a 10 a.m. Oval Office meeting with the President. A mid-level staffer ... detailed from another agency ... decided he didn’t like what was on it, printed it anyway, then locked it in his desk and refused to hand it over. Her chief of staff went down. Her general counsel went down. Both got told to pound sand until the guy’s real boss at his home agency finally gave permission.
That’s the “deep state.” Not some secret society in a basement. Just some nobody with a desk drawer and a God complex who genuinely believed his personal veto outranked the Director of National Intelligence and the elected President of the United States.
This is what Gabbard means when she says they “thrive in the gaps between elections.” The voters pick a direction every four years. The permanent class decides which parts of that direction are even allowed to reach the Resolute Desk. They control the files. They control the information flow. And they’ve been doing it across administrations for decades because the only thing they actually answer to is each other.
The rest of us are just supposed to pretend the elections are real while these people quietly decide what the winner is permitted to know and act on.
Watch her whole speech if you want the full savage version. But the core truth is brutally simple: America votes. Then the people nobody voted for decide what happens next.
