@Alistair_King @qikipedia The actual experiments planned for the instrument are targeting more fundamental things, e.g. the intersection between Quantum Mechanics and General Relativity, Gravitational Waves and Quantum Information.

@Alistair_King @qikipedia That is exactly what they mean. The closer you get to absolute zero, the harder it gets to go further. So while it doesn't sound much, getting from 1 K to 1E-10 K is a tremendous challenge. However, these temperature claims are really only used to impress the public. 1/2
