Fantastic to see dementia friendly seating at our National Path Demonstration Site. This is part of ongoing work funded by Dementia Services Development Trust to raise awareness about how we can make our shared open spaces more accessible for people living with dementia.
We have grab bags of British native wildflowers for larger areas 🌺💜🌸 Here's our shade mix - ideal for shadier areas of your garden and balcony.

Thanks to Crystal Peaks Shopping Mall for dropping off a couple of old pallets for us to recycle into a bench. Our aim is to put 6 or so, around the park so that more people can enjoy Waterthorpe Park.
Please use them but leave them so others can.
Well worth a read, very insightful about our parks and greenspaces and how they are vital for human interaction, creating neighbourhoods and communities. Free and open spaces are "really important, particularly for those who maybe feel they don’t belong"
We’re launching a new #LoveParks campaign today, which will run throughout the summer break, calling on everyone to please be kind to our country's parks. #KeepItBinIt#KeepBritainTidy
ITS NOW OPEN - we are pleased to report the field is now open. A new toddler swing is installed. Please don't use the items that are still taped off for safety issues.
Could your community benefit from a grant to help with environmental projects? We have now extended the Community Grants scheme to support local environment initiatives. Find out more at https://t.co/DcQHoxvHZv
Just a reminder that the Playing Field is STILL CLOSED. The Parish Council is under the guidance from SSDC and the government, and as it is an enclosed play area it must not be used. This includes the skate ramps, swings picnic tables and grass areas.
@BBCBreaking Seriously could we have a good news story for once. Sick of doom & gloom reporting. Give us some happy enlighting stories.

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak our plan for installs over summer won't be possible. We have several grants in the works, but we are not sure what funding opportunities will be available after this period of financial stress on charities, businesses and governments. #StayAtHome
UPDATE:
Just a quick update from us during this COVID-19: #stayathome#protectthenhs
BREAKFAST FUNDRAISER: We have had to sadly cancel our next scheduled breakfast for the 17th of May. Our events later in the year are still scheduked pending Government restrictions.
