@GreggDewalt@VOL_Chad Super random, but I am planning to be in Scotland next summer, and am considering Kilspindie, Gullane 3, and The Glen. Since you've played all 3, which would you pick if you only had one round.
@tblack331 But the roster payroll thing is real. They can currently spend like 5-6m a year and be at the top of the A10, or double that to be middle of the pack in the Big East.
@tblack331 I actually think SLU fits the Big East if they are able to invest and maintain a $9m+ roster. St Louis is a Top 25 media market and adds a meaningful pin to the Big East map.
That said, I’d prefer they stay in the A10 and raise the standard alongside Dayton and vcu.
@MatSheltonEide At present, I just don't think vcu being in the BE changes the equation for the BE. Doesn't add a significant market (would be 2nd smallest in the conference) or meaningfully expand the conference footprint. Same reason why FSU or Clemson haven't been attractive to the SEC.
Sen. Tommy Tuberville has long been involved in college sports legislation in D.C. Today he introduced a new college sports bill that would set eligibility limits at 5 consecutive years to play 5 consecutive seasons. Athletes could transfer once; additional transfers would require sitting out a year.
