The ninth convoy of vehicles for our firefighters has left for Ukraine from Britain. This is much more than just the transfer of 21 fire trucks. It is about protecting Ukrainian cities and saving the lives of civilians and rescuers who are being attacked by the Russians.

I would like to thank the United Kingdom – the government, the fire and rescue services across England and Wales, and all the partners of this initiative.

I also want to mention the British charity @FIRE_AID_UK, which has been helping the State Emergency Service of Ukraine since 2014. This is now the largest international rescue service support project ever implemented by UK. As part of it, Ukraine received 169 fire and rescue vehicles and over 250,000 units of equipment.
