@X2Pluto@RyanGarciaESM He’s a league average bat. I’m not trying to sit here and defend him but going 0-3 doesn’t really change anything. He is statistically a league average bat.
@RyanGarciaESM “Doesn’t really seem to hustle”
He didn’t hustle. He never hustles. Solid bat that this team needs in the lineup, but such a brutal defender, not to mention that absolute noodle arm.
Last three homegrown Yankees to homer in their MLB debut:
George Lombard Jr (2026)
Jasson Dominguez (2023)
Aaron Judge (2016)
What a special moment for the Yankees top prospect!
Lalane makes sense. Super talented arm, but he’s only in High-A, and would’ve been unprotected going into the rule 5 draft this off-season unless he was added to the 40 man.
…with only as many bases as he attained safely. If a batter-runner overslides second base and is tagged out, the official scorer shall credited him with a one-base hit; if the batter-runner overslides third base and is tagged out, the official scorer shall credit him with a 2B
Rule 9.06(c): When the batter attempts to make a two-base hit or a three-base hit by sliding, he must hold the last base to which he advances. If a batter-runner overslides and is tagged out before getting back to the base safely, he shall be credited…
As John Sterling would've said, this is "just bookkeeping," but shouldn't Jasson Dominguez be credited with a triple here? They gave him a double, out stretching.
