Coach Tellez was a father figure and impacted my entire adult life. He made me who I am. A statue at the Tellez Track is a fitting honor to coach knowing he impacted many athletes at @UHouston. Please support the fundraising of the this effort for this fitting tribute!
Cummings was in one of the most puzzling plays I can remember.
He was the reigning SEC 100m/200m champ but was outrun by an Arkansas receiver (Anthony Lucas, I think) on an 80-yard TD play.
Richard Hymans is a hardcore track & field statistician & in multiple visits to the U.S.’s Olympic Trials, he’s become enamored of the event. His love drove him to publish a book on the meet’s history. T&F News brings you the digital version!🏆

Just a follow-up about a good month to subscribe to @Peacock:
I see they have a limited-time offer of a full year at $19.99 (normally $59.99).
This, of course, would get well beyond the Trials and Paris, which I understand will also have dedicated field/combined-event streams.
June would be a good month to subscribe to @Peacock.
They're scheduling by-event coverage of the field and combined events for the U.S. Olympic Trials.
I wonder if they'll do similar in August for the Paris Olympics.
Nolan Richardson talks about the first time he ever heard of Larry Bird. If you’ve never seen it, stop whatever you’re doing for the next 80 seconds and watch this. Just trust me.

@polevaultpower I believe the U.S. has let the Trials results themselves decide things since 1972.
Extenuating circumstances like ties, health & an-ever rising level of WA playfulness (even worse for WC) have added things in recent years, which is beyond control of the U.S. governing body.
I've seen indoor and outdoor SEC Championships in Gainesville, and they've been incredible.
I would think this year's outdoors would follow in that respect.
