@hollanovpseud dislike him because of the books. he could be redeemed in Unrivaled if he came around to being more of an actually supportive friend or if Shane put a stop to his nonsense.
but I enjoy him written a wide variety of ways in ff :)
imagine a hollanov date at the louvre.. shane would be overstimulated asf, trying and failing to understand the map whilst getting distracted by the architecture. Ilya would be bouncing through rooms and end up lost in the mona lisa mosh pit. They’d share A Look at michelangelo’s dying slave.. and they’d buy a puzzle at the gift shop for david
this one shot about ilya's relationship with the russian language is making me so distraught in the best possible way everyone go read it right now

I think many people confuse ooc with au. Writing an au does not mean the characters will be ooc, the whole point of au is to see how these characters would interact with the world you created.
@whentdwm so in this scenario, Ilya can't speak English well enough to get through a press conference after living in North America for a decade, but Shane is switching back and forth between Russian and English for him? 🤔
@wildflwrnev ooooo, I agree with all of these: ) plus:
