Who is running West Bengal? Mamata Banerjee or WB Police? Today, DGP of Bengal landed in #Sandeshkhali to take ‘stock’?

But can the people of Sandeshkhali trust WB Police?

In 2019, BJP worker Pradip Mondal and his brothers were brutally murdered. Pradip was shot at in the eye and his body hacked into pieces… Shahjahan’s men, most of them believed to be illegal Rohingyas, barged into the Mondal household, pulled out the male members and carried out the ghastly crime.

In 2019, when this case was filed, Court handed over the case to CID, which acquitted Shaikh Shahjahan, after one month of investigation.

The present DGP, who visited Sandeshkhali, presumably on behalf of Mamata Banerjee, was the Additional Director of the CID at that time.

Reporter: The main complaint is against Sheikh Shahjahan.

Padma Mondal: On the day of Jamai Shashthi, under the leadership of Sheikh Shahjahan, approximately 2,500-3,000 goons gathered near Hathgachi. They attacked our house with arms and weapons.

4 local on-duty police officers came to our house and asked all the male family members to come out. Then the goons attacked, dragged them and mercilessly tortured them. They shot my husband 8 times, taking shot at his eye too.
Really... really… mercilessly… they attacked him with swords, choppers, daggers. The goons brutally killed my husband, Pradeep Mondal with the support of the police and the administration. Sheikh Shahjahan, Kader Mollah, Akher Ali Gain, Jiauddin Mollah, Aizul Mollah and other goons were involved.

The Rohingyas ransacked my house, looted and vandalized the shop. They tortured my husband brutally to death. The call for justice remains unanswered till date... The CID has submitted the chargesheet to the High Court... on which Sheikh Shahjahan was the prime accused. His name was on the top, but the CID submitted the chargesheet with the names of 2 other accused with minor charges and omitted the name of Sheikh Shahjahan from the chargesheet.

This is why I have challenged the investigation of the CID in front of the High Court and have presented my case. I beg the Hon'ble Judge with the folded hands for justice.

When they killed my husband, my two sons were very young… I was completely helpless, but somehow I managed to stay there till 2021… I used to do fishing to earn my livelihood but after the elections in 2021, they came to my house again and snatched everything… I was forced to leave the house after that.

Sexual exploitation of poor women, at the hands of TMC leaders, is rampant in Bengal. The other day, Patashpur TMC MLA Uttam Barik, posted a picture of his, molesting a woman beneficiary in a WB Govt program. Imagine the audacity!

Mamata Banerjee has weaponised this kind of predatory behaviour, to win elections. Hindu women be damned.

Dinhata Incident

Woman:
The goons of Udayan Guha, Bishu Dhar, Dipak Bhattacharya asked me to go to the party office to prepare ‘pithey’ (dessert).
I did not comply.
I said to them who will go to the party office at 12am?
Do we women have no dignity?
They would never listen to me.
They would frequently come and assault me.
I beg for their mercy and ask them…
Will you not let me live?
They do not listen to me.
At 4pm in the evening, panchayat and booth president would come and ask me to go to the party office the next day.
I said that I will not go.
I have my dignity.
I prayed to them a couple of times but they would never listen.
They would coerce and torture me.
Still I did not comply.
Then in the evening, the goons from the panchayat were sent to our home and they vandalized our home They vandalized our homes at 8pm.
The was a bike, showcase, TV, fan, the windows and doors; all were vandalised by them.

Man: Was the police there?

Woman:
Police was there.
They displayed more courage as the police was there with them.
A similar incident happened in Burirhat.
After the Burirhat incident, they started feeling more invincible.
They have started assaulting the women in the locality.
They have become more vindictive as the government is in their hands.
If they torture us so much, how will we live?
We are the common people.
We work as daily labourer and earn food.
We do not know anything about the party. Why they come here? To torture us? They definitely have some evil intention.
I am not like other women. I will never do anything bad. I have self-respect. I am not shameless. I will never go there to do such a bad thing. They come to do that only.
We understand everything.
Who will go there to prepare pithe so late at night? You tell me.
We have lodged complaint against them.
I want them to get punishment.
I do not want that women like me keep getting tortured like this. Why are they torturing us?
Do we not have any dignity since we are poor?

Upon my return to India from Australia despite having a stay order from the Gujarat High Court, I was detained at Delhi airport and subsequently arrested by Ahmedabad police due to false dowry harassment allegations made by my cousin's wife a year.
