@VedBorah দাদা, Assam’s “opposition”, with few exceptions like Gaurav Gogoi, looks more like BJP’s bench—few crores in cash, a lucrative govt contract, a BJP ticket from a constituency of their choice, and they’re gone. Maybe that’s why vote BJP, despite all odds.
@RoshanKrRaii The NDA’s final tally is 240. So even if your accusation is true, it means the EC swung only 5 seats in the NDA’s favor. Even then, Congress should have been able to form the government with 285 seats — but that didn’t happen. #RahulGandhiExposed
With Folded Hands 🙏 I ask for forgiveness but while I am happy that we won the #OvalTest , I cannot celebrate as I normally would, thinking that #TeamIndia maybe forced to play enemy nation Pakistan! We love our Cricket heros including those who played this #TestCricket match but we will not accept India play Pakistan and make money for the enemy nation!
I apologize again but I stand by what I believe in!!
#INDvsENGTest
@priyankac19 Someday, I’d love to read your unfiltered account of sitting next to Jaya Bachchan in Parliament – not the PR-friendly version, but the real one. Guess we’ll have to wait a few years for that.
@Zaffar_Nama Back in the day, I used to watch those regional language movies on Doordarshan on Sunday afternoons. That’s how I picked up some Bangla and also realised how similar Oriya is to Assamese.
#WATCH | During the discussion on Operation Sindoor in the House, AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi says, "Does your conscience allow you to ask the family members of the people who were killed in Baisaran to watch India's cricket match with Pakistan?... We are stopping 80% of Pakistan's water, saying that water and blood will not flow together. Will you play a cricket match? My conscience does not allow me to watch that match. Does this government have the courage to call the 25 dead people and say we have taken revenge in Operation Sindoor, now you watch the match with Pakistan. It is a matter of great regret... Who did Pahalgam? We have 7.5 lakh army and central paramilitary force. From where did these four rats enter and kill our Indian citizens? On whom will accountability be fixed?..."
It is not by accident that India and Pakistan are always in the same group.
It is not by accident that India and Pakistan always play on Sunday.
It is not by accident that India and Pakistan play each other twice, or even thrice in tournaments.
It is a money making machine for the BCCI.
All this "dhong" of cutting ties with Pakistan is only for public consumption. BCCI would play Pakistan every other month if they could.
The players, ex-players, commentators, coaches, media personnel - all of them have their dosti-yaari going on behind the scenes with their Pakistani counterparts.
They reminisce about the "old days" or how great that 98-99 tour was, how some shopkeeper didn't ask them for money. How the environment has become "toxic" in recent times.
You think Yuvraj and Afridi didn't hang out privately just because the Legends game got cancelled?
You think BCCI and PCB didn't sit together and enthusiastcially discuss how to squeeze Indo-Pak cricket further to make more money?
All this while the Indian Army claims that Operation Sindoor is still ongoing.
It is only the pesky politics that is stopping BCCI from achieving the "true potential" of Indo-Pak cricket.
The deaths of civilians and the conflict on the border are an interruption to their endeavors of making more money. And they must now "tolerate" it for a few months before normalcy can resume.
Shame on you @BCCI, for pandering to money over lives of Indian citizens.
@Geeky_Foodie@Airtel_Presence Complety agree. It has made the entire customer care process a frustrating experience.
The only way is to complain on social media that usually works.
But what should take 2 minutes on the call now takes hours and tons of effort.
@khanthefatima Assam has resisted illegal Bangladeshi influx for 50+ years. Bengal opened the gates—first the Left, now TMC.
Now face the consequences of vote-bank politics.
@indiainpixels The Gujjus were the smart ones — they either supported both sides or stayed neutral. After all, dhando should never suffer because of someone else’s war.
