@RogersHistory This was the biggest shock starting my pgce and has continued into my first ECT year. First placement lot of time in the History office with the door slightly open. Hearing kids organising meeting times in between lessons. It's a real problem
@rjwilliams_82 That's a great idea! Looking at the exam technique section at the back of the textbook I'm starting to think I've been marking very harshly!
At my school each student is issued with a uniform card. Any breach of uniform policy seen by a member of staff leads to them putting a strike on said card. Tutors check cards weekly, when a student receives five strikes they get put on report
Does anyone know of/work for a school that solved a big uniform issue/turned uniform around? Iβm talking:
- Blazers
- Top buttons and shirts
- PE kit
- Coats/trainers etc
Keen to hear from anywhere with tight systems and an obvious turnaround.
RT appreciated!
@rjwilliams_82 Super helpful! The first booklet saved me hours as will the second. I will have to go over the dreaded narrative account again with them because they clearly haven't got that nailed yet
Resourcing years 7, 8, 9, 11, 12 & 13 in my first year as an ECT has been such a challenge. I'm so delighted I found history teacher twitter as the people on here who share their resources has saved me so much time. Thank you @worcesterjonny@rjwilliams_82@andyhassan1985
