F1 had their class liturgy in the beautiful school garden. We talked about the word of the week - Vocation and spoke about what God’s calling is for us all. The children drew themselves in the roles they feel they are being called to do when they become grown ups. #HTARE #HTAEYFS

The F1 children (Little Acorns) carried out a special liturgy in the beautiful school garden to celebrate the crowning of Mary. We coloured in flowers and cut them out before laying them at Mary’s feet. #HTAComeandSee #HTAEYFS

The F1 children have had a Pentecost party today. We made Pentecost hats and sang a song about the Holy Spirit. #HTAComeandSee #HTAEYFS

We have enjoyed reading our book this week, “What Makes me a ME?” By Ben Faulks. We have made funny faces in the mirror and then recreated our faces to welcome everyone into our classroom. Don’t we all look happy! 😀#HTAArt#HTAAspires

We have had such a busy week in The Woodlands this week, both in school and at home. We have been finding out about lots of different birds after reading our book of the week “Owl’s Winter Rescue”.

This week we have been learning about Bonfire Night. We used conkers and acorns and rolled them in paint to make firework pictures. We made chocolate sparklers and used shapes to make rockets. #HTAHistory #HTAMaths #HTAScience #HTAArt

The Little Acorns had an exciting morning in Eco Land. We found lots of caterpillars🐛. Mrs Smith told us these ones grow into a six-spot burnet......we were so lucky to then find one 😃 #HTAAspires

Today we have been learning about how to stay safe near water. We talked lots about where we find water, we know to be SAFE by Staying Away From the Edge!! #HTAHealthyWeek

Today we talked lots about different feelings we have. We made bubble wands and thought about things that makes us happy. We also weaved different materials choosing colours that we thought made us feel happy, sad, excited and angry. #HTAHealthyWeek

Yesterday we started #HTAHealthyWeek learning about road safety. We know we must STOP, LOOK, LISTEN and THINK. We drew roads, made road signs and practiced how we can stay safe. 🚗🚲🛴🚦👫 #HTAAspires

The Little Acorns have been learning about the artist Claude Monet. Each day we have painted different parts of the beautiful painting called Japanese Bridge over a Pond of Water Lilies. Today we peeled the masking tape off to reveal the bridge. They are beautiful 🌸#HTAArt
