Hannah (an Inuk woman, mother and artist from Kuujjuaq, QC) is cycling Canada to raise awareness of the suicide epidemic in Inuit communities. Follow her story.
@jost_george 2/2 If you are looking for information about factors that contribute to suicide rates, I encourage you to Google Truth and Reconciliation Commission to start, and Reconciliation Book clubs (online) and watch The Grizzlies, while we are all physically distancing :)
Hello from Deb in-the-van. Hoping everyone is taking gentle care of yourself. I have been collaborating with Hannah on a docu-series about her journey.
The first video is out today:

@jost_george 1/2: There are resources available to support some folks online, but the bigger problem is a complete lack of support in Inuit Metis First Nations communities. Also, many Indigenous folks live in urban centers, so the issue is not geographically bound (but is related to land).
Happy New Year! I hope you all are having a restful holiday. La Presse has made me the personality of the year! The link is below if you want to read it.

Wow! Humbled by your generosity. I hope you will join me in Cabot Square, MTL (Aug 8) at about 1pm for the final kms of THIS portion of my journey. #DontCutYourLifeShort
On the bike path now between Stittsville and Parliament Hill. We will try to live tweet Hannah reciting her poem on Parliament Hill when she arrives at about 11am.
