I would like, as one who certainly has not & does not see eye to eye with Sarah on many matters @dioceseoflondon, add my thanks to those of many of others about @bishopSarahM leadership of the LLF process. The sacrificial way in which she has devoted herself to this arduous task with graciousness, fairness and pastoral sensitivity has been an example to us all @churchofengland. I hope that relinquishing this task & handing it on to others will offer her the time to use those gifts to enrich other parts of our common life together.
I don't want to make a fuss, she wouldn't want one but the Bishop of London @bishopSarahM has demonstrated the most exceptional leadership within the @churchofengland on LLF and I just wanted to publicly show my appreciation. Thank you!
“Alas, Judas Iscariot,”
“The mystery of betrayal oozes from the walls of the Church.... We experience the mystery of iniquity, the mystery of betrayal, the mystery of Judas.... The evil of an efficacious activism has infiltrated everywhere.... We seek to imitate the organization of large companies. We forget that only prayer is the blood that can irrigate the heart of the Church.... The one who does not pray anymore has already betrayed. Already he is ready for all the compromises with the world. He is walking on the path of Judas.”

An honour to join with Mina Smallman and other bereaved families for a memorial service to remember the women and girls whose lives have been cruelly cut short @stpaulslondon. Three years on from the murder of Mina’s beloved daughters, Nicole and Bibaa, it’s time to put an end to violence against women and girls.
Six years after the Grenfell Tower Fire, the memories of that tragic day remain just as raw and painful for so many. 72 lives lost, bereaved families left devastated - they truly are forever in our hearts. #72lives72months#ForeverInOurHearts#GrenfellTower
72 months since 72 people died. A month for every life lost.
Six years, and not a single person has been held to account.
Join us at the silent walk. Stand in solidarity against our two tiered justice system.
Those responsible must be held accountable.

@VaticanNews I don't aspire to be great even when I give 100% effort at whatever I'm doing. In my eyes, that's glory-seeking, which is an expression of pride.
Non nobis, Domine, non nobis, sed Nomini tuo da gloriam.
I understand what the Holy Father is saying, though: Don't be a bully.
"Jesus accepts our desire for greatness, but he insists on one thing that we must always remember: it is not by stepping upon others that we become great, but by stooping to help them."
