Btw, I did snag more packet captures before this with Synapse functionality, expect a few updates to the docs.
I also extracted the STM32 image from the firmware update capture, so maybe I'll try taking a look at that.🙂
Had some extra time today, so I tried reverse engineering my Razer BlackWidow 2019, including the firmware flash protocol...
It's a paperweight now.
At least I made some cool docs along the way! https://t.co/dhEEcPzXak
@FOSSPenguin@t3dotgg must admit, I did start with Ubuntu. wouldn't have found Linux Mint otherwise. but Linux Mint isn't hard to use, and a lot of things that apply to Ubuntu also apply to Mint
@SwiftOnSecurity@t3dotgg preach!
WAIT LINUX IS NOT AN OS
WHAT YOURE REFERRING TO IS IN FACT GNU/LINUX OR AS I'VE RECENTLY TAKEN TO CALLING IT GNU PLUS LINUX LINUX IS NOT AN OPERATING SYSTEM UNTO ITSELF BUT RATHER ANOTHER FREE COMPONENT OF A FULLY FUNCTIONING GNU SYSTEM MADE USEFUL BY THE GNU CORELIBS
@a67deff8dea4 @t3dotgg if you're new, use Linux Mint! the highlight is that it's Ubuntu without the Snap bloatware. it also feels much faster in my experience
@MikageEmu Hot take, but I prefer to install everything from the Microsoft Store. This way it's easy to update everything, app files also cleanly uninstall without leftovers.
Coming from Linux, I use a package manager for all my apps. In Windows, the MS Store is the closest thing to that.
