Let me clarify, Caserio and DeMeco have done a phenomenal job at building a roster (especially the defense) but Nick has failed miserably at building an OLine for 5 seasons now. Hope this is the year it’s strong but a large part of CJ Strouds struggles have been due to the failure of the OLine.
Dead last in rushing effectiveness since CJ has been the QB, Mixon was a bandaid to a bigger issue. So here is a full list of Caserio’s OLine additions through the draft and FA. (And we’re still projected to be a bottom 10 Oline by "experts”)

@leoisforgiven@theeezy1 That’s just an ignorant take. What happened when the bears actually invested in their line for Caleb Williams? Texans are dead last in rushing effectiveness as well.
Instead of signing stud lineman in FA Caserio has opted for value deals and you get what you pay for.
@theeezy1@leoisforgiven I’m all for investing in it, Caserio has missed on almost all of his additions and draft picks. My point is, it shouldn’t have taken this long and hurt CJ’s development in the process
@famu_eng@leoisforgiven He’s tried to outsmart everyone taking players higher in the draft than their projection thinking he sees something the entire rest of the league doesn’t, then in FA has gone the cheap / value route instead of shelling out money for real talent.
@leoisforgiven I want an elite OLine as much as everyone, which is why I’d be frustrated if we have to pick another one early in the draft for the 4th year in a row
