1.Every student in Houston deserves a solid, equitable well-rounded education.
2.Teachers need to be respected, well paid and supported by the district.
3.Accepting anonymous screenshots of anything that is contrary to 1 & 2. We must hold Miles & Co. accountable.
@houston_tsta In the coming weeks, Miles will announce the next three feeder patterns to go NES. Transition will begin at campuses immediately after his announcement. NES will be fully implemented when staff and students return from Winter break.
Gallini "...also served as the executive director of Neighborhood Charter Schools in NYC and managing director of curriculum and instruction at Uplift Education, a charter school network in the Dallas-Fort Worth Area."
Former ROE principal will move Lamar Feeder pattern to NES-A

@houstonisdwatch Or Promote principal of a high- performing campus and then install a Miles cronie to move ROE towards NES-A. Campus performs well on STAAR and Miles calls his way a success! He gets a "win" & enough of a reason to get rid of IB/magnet programs in lieu of the "proven" NES model.
@houstonisdwatch Who wants to bet IB/magnet programs will be replaced w/something designed by Miles & Gallini? It will likely be in a similar vein as NES &hailed as next best thing. Gallini brings street cred Miles desperately needs to win parents. IB/magnet $$ will pay for NES exploding costs.

@KariLeon14 I hate everything about the principal apprentice program, but y'all got a great person. She's a brilliant educator who should have been named a principal years ago.

@MonicaRichart Reform is necessary but I am curious if this is his way of getting rid of the vanguard program. Seats at schools like @traviseshisd are hard to get w/o kinder VG status only zoned kids will be able to attend.
Teachers asked legitimate questions! Miles is such an insecure leader that instead of standing behind the curriculum and methods he designed, he would rather destroy stellar schools that are vital to the community.
@mr_dsantos @houstonisdwatch Unacceptable! Any idea when the closure will take place?

@Envious_1 If y'all don't like the new curriculum, get your grownups to complain to the school administration, attend school board meetings and contact district offices directly. Students and parents voices are important!
@Envious_1 @HoustonISD The principal made the decision against the wishes of the staff. I wouldn't be surprised if y'all a bunch of teachers and leaders quit.
@houstonisdwatch His and his cronies are sending plain clothes visitor's into schools during open houses to report back on what teachers/admin are telling parents. What a ridiculous and insecure little man!
RT if you're registered to vote. ππ½
Local elections are coming up in November and voter registration closes in just 20 days.
If you're not registered yet or not sure if you are, don't worry.

Outside of blackout dates, how is this legal? My employer reminds us leave is part of our total compensation. If my kid's teachers don't feel comfortable taking leave, I don't want my kids in that school. No good comes from burnt-out teachers. Let teachers take leave!
