@D_Raghnaill @BigStartIreland @SIPTU Totally agree, investments in free school meals while welcome just doesn’t cut it when staff are struggling & the NCS could see the most vulnerable children & families without any support. Frustrating to say the least
Fantastic Resilience screening in #Athlone today. Thanks to our excellent panellists @SenLynnRuane @GaryCunDub & a great audience for the lively post screening discussion 👏🏻 #ACEAware#Midlands
Another exciting #Resilience screening with an excellent panel @SenLynnRuane @GaryCunDub@eifwill for a lively discussion. Don’t miss it! October 7 #Athlone
@Wayne_Hart9 For sure but it will be a matter of chipping away before we shed the firefighting model. #CYPSC in Laois/Offaly have committed significant HI funding to #ACEs training & awareness to focus services on #prevention#earlyintervention
In all.our training & work with parents we make the link between ACEs & attachment, trauma, brain development, self-regulation, stress response, temperament, environment & relational health. ACEs don't occur in a vacuum & how they affect people or not depends on so many factors
"This isn't about turning police officers into social workers, but most problems start in local communities and we need to look at an incident through an ACE lens.” Could we hope for a similar initiative with #AnGardaSiochana https://t.co/rToUlXK2Ti
Very proud to have carried out this work for @Oberstown1 - reveals the really complex nature of these young people's lives, and, actually, the real sadness in them as well. #shapinglivesbuildingfutures
